FesslerUSA is in the process of updating its employee handbook and we are seeking information on how our fellow AAPN members handle the following subjects:
1. Normal Retirement Age – do you publish a normal retirement age in your policies? We would like to say something like Normal Retirement Age at FesslerUSA is 65, as defined by the Social Security Administration.
2. Binding Arbitration – does anyone have a policy regarding taking employment disputes to binding arbitration, instead of going through other channels? If so, how is it worded and have you found it to be successful in reducing frivolous claims? We have been told that requiring an employee to sign an agreement in advance is not wise, but stating a policy is ok – what do you think?

We have never used one and are not sure whether to use one of the big on-line search firms or whether a smaller industry-specific one might be better?

Manufacturer looking for 100% polyester fluorescent yellow fabric. It would be helpful if the fabric has an FR coating but is not necessary. The fabric must pass ANSI 107-2004 test. Contact AAPN at sue@aapnetwork.net for manufacturer's name, company & contact info.
