Apparelpedia provides a wide variety of participation options. From reading existing entries to adding your own entry, each level of participation is designed to be as easy as possible.
Searching and Browsing for Entry Topics:
To find an entry on a specific topic, you can either search or browse for your entry topic. The search is keyword based and will deliver all results containing the keyword you searched for in the body of the entry. You can also browse through the entries by topic, term, author, or newest additions.
Additionally, in order to showcase the most active entries, and to save you time finding where the ongoing participation already is happening, we’ve created a short list of recently updated and popular entries—see the column on the right side of all Apparelpe pages.
Editing Entries:
To add to or modify an existing entry, use the ‘Edit’ link at the bottomand top of the entry you are reading. Following this link produces the entry in an editable format. Type the changes you’d like to make and then click the ‘Save’ button at the top or bottom of the entry to save your changes. If you decide you don’t want to save your changes, you can click ‘cancel.’
Remember, there’s nothing you can do to mess up a page. We have a history of every page stored. We can always get back to an earlier version, so don’t be afraid to experiment. As Wikipedia says, "Be bold."
Adding New Entries:
To add a new entry, you can create your own new page . As with editing, there’s nothing you can do to mess up a page. We have a history of every page stored. We can always get back to an earlier version so don’t be afraid to experiment.
